Genesis configurations for a Brawler (a participating NFT collection) must be designed prior to integration in the protocol to ensure game balance (as it relates to starting statistics and available manoeuvres). Having a permissioned approach to integrations allows for variation in Brawler composition, providing each collection the ability to develop unique strategies and manoeuvres. It wouldnt make sense for a Bored Ape to be able to perform a Pudgy Pounce
(a deadly manoeuvre exclusive only to penguins) for example.
For this reason, in order for NFT collections to participate in the BaseBrawl protocol they must go through a permissioning process. Initially this will be handled by the founding team, however as mentioned previously (along with overall game balance decisions) will be handed over the the community to manage via decentralised governance processes.
To bootstrap the protocol, selected NFT collections that have proven to have strong community alignment within Web3 will be integrated at the genesis deployment of BaseBrawl. The founding team believes this is a necessity in order to showcase the value BaseBrawl can provide to the NFT community with the least amount of onboarding friction as possible - and also to reward our fellow NFT collectors of course.
In future, we envision the BaseBrawl community establishing a base line cost in $BB tokens for the integration of a collection into the protocol. Prior to the decentralization of protocol governance, enquiries for collection integrations can be made by contacting the team via hello@basebrawl.xyz
